Compliance Requirements
Institutional re-accreditation requires that each unit (academic and support) participate in the compliance portion of the Self-Study in preparation for the February 2006 visit by the external evaluation team. All unit will prepare documents based upon the Higher Learning Commission (HLCC) Criteria for Accreditation. Criteria for Accreditation Abbreviated Version Criteria for Accreditation HLC (pdf file) See Chapter 3 Hallmarks of an Effective Self-Study Process The re-accreditation self-study includes a special emphasis segment that will focus on Internationalization at MSU. This special emphasis should be diffused through-out your contribution to the "compliance portion" of the institutional report. Please provide examples of your "international dimension" as often as possible. Utilizing your documents the university will incorporate the compliance and special emphasis self-study reports into an institutional report that will demonstrate MSU's capacity to excel as an institution of higher education. As with any good self-study the report will present examples of our capacities and an assessment of how we are doing. The report is expected to be evaluative. We cannot simply report data, we need to assess and discuss the results of our self-study activities. Examples are required from each unit by May 30, 2005. See Examples and Evidence for examples of unit responses to the compliance portion of the Self-Study.
